Manufacturers and Representatives

A Manufacturer is the entity that produces charging stations for electric vehicles.

If you are a manufacturer or representative and wish to validate your charging stations for integration into the MOBI.E Management Platform, see on this page how you should proceed during the transitional period.

Requirements for your charging stations to be part of the MOBI.E-connected charging network:

  • Support Internet connectivity via 3G, Ethernet, and/or Wi-Fi;
  • Include Type 2 sockets (IEC 62196-2) for normal charging stations;
  • Include at least one Type 2 Combo connector cable for fast charging stations;
  • Be CE marked, certifying compliance with essential safety and health protection requirements, and approved according to IEC 61851;
  • Include an RFID card reader compliant with ISO/IEC 14443 (optional if mobile app authentication is supported);
  • Support communication using the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP), version 1.5 or 1.6, between the station and its central management system;
  • Have energy meters per outlet in accordance with Directive 2014/32/EU (MID);
  • Ensure compatibility with the Mobi.E System (for validation testing, please contact mic@mobie.pt).
