EGME Tariff - MOBI.E
Electric Mobility Network Management Entity tariff
What it is and to whom it applies
The Electric Mobility Network Management Entity (EGME, in Portuguese) tariff, set annually by the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE, in portuguese), is applied to Suppliers, Operators and Station Owners to cover the costs of their regulated activities.
These costs are analyzed by ERSE during the annual tariff-setting process. It is important to note that the EGME tariff does not apply directly to electric car drivers, as it is applied to market agents. However, suppliers and operators can adjust their pricing based on these tariffs.
Mobi.E's regulated activity encompasses various administrative procedures, such as market agents joining the Mobi.E network or providing a technological platform to connect Operators' charging stations, guaranteeing universality of use. In addition, MOBI.E handles data communications to share information between Suppliers, Operators and entities in the electricity sector, manages a system of guarantees for Suppliers, Operators and Station Owners and provides information to drivers on tariffs and the state of the network. MOBI.E also provides relevant market information to ERSE and other public entities.
